Washington D.C.– In advance of President Biden’s first 100 days in office, immigrant youth from United We Dream and members of ACLU of Idaho, Arizona Dream Act Coalition, Connecticut Students for a Dream (C4D), Desis Rising Up and Moving (DRUM), Dream Action Oklahoma, KS/MO Dream Alliance, Living United for Change in Arizona (LUCHA), and the National TPS Alliance, gathered near the White House today to push Biden and Democrats do everything in their power to deliver on a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented people immediately.

Greisa Martinez Rosas, Executive Director of United We Dream, said:
“Today over 100 immigrant youth and allies from California, Arizona, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Florida, Connecticut, New York, Maryland and other states came together to remind President Biden and Democrats that we are here to stay and that we will win citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants this year.
Those of us who took action today represent the power of millions of people who have been fighting for 35 years to bring an end to inaction from politicians on immigration.
For decades our people have waited for reform that never came. For decades we’ve been told by Democrats to wait until after the next election. No more promises, we need action. We are saying today with moral and political clarity: We see you, we will hold you accountable, deliver citizenship now!
President Biden and Democrats in Congress must do everything in their power to deliver citizenship for millions of undocumented people, including adding a pathway to citizenship for immigrant youth, TPS holders, essential workers and farm workers in the infrastructure package.”
Luz Chavez, Maryland Youth Organizer at United We Dream and a DACA recipient, said:
“We hear President Biden when he says we’re a priority, and now we want to see that be reflected in what Congress passes into law. We’re turning up the pressure even more to tell President Biden and Democrats that we need citizenship now. Now is the time to go big and go bold for our communities by stopping all detentions and deportations and providing a broad pathway to citizenship for millions of people in the infrastructure package.
From driving calls to Senators Manchin, Durbin, Schumer, Hickenlooper, Kelly and Sinema to launching our five-figure digital ad campaign last week to putting our bodies on the line and risking arrest as we did today, our communities are not taking no for an answer. We are ready to win and ready for President Biden and Democrats to lead and deliver.”
